A week after the huge success of Liver-Aid and it was back to The Olympia but this time for the return of the cage fighting championship, OMMAC. Some nice lighting for the walk ons of each fighter was particularly pleasing for me to get some nice drama but this was nothing compared to the drama going on in the cage itself.
Some closely fought battles had the crowd on their feet on several occasions with blood, sweat and controversy in the mix during the night.
The main fight of the night saw Lee ‘The Butcher’ Chadwick quickly see off Yvan Sorel from France, much to the delight of Lee’s supporters.
These are a selection of the pics from the night. For more photos of the night and to purchase non-watermarked versions for prints and downloads please visit here.
It was a mammoth 20 fight and not far off 6 hour show last night at The Olympia but the crowd were treated to blood (quite a lot of it), sweat and a prayer from one of the fighters as he entered the ring.
This was being filmed for showing on Loaded TV next Friday so the lights were nice and bright and plenty of interviews and analysis was taking place in front of the cameras which should all help to add to the event when it goes out.
Some great fights – well done to Lee Chadwick for winning the British Middleweight Title fight, Andrew Fisher for his British Featherweight Title win and also thoughts for Shay Walsh who had his jaw broken in his fight with Andrew.

Great to be back at The Olympia with the cage fighting after a three month break and last night was an epic one finally finishing at 12.30 this morning.
I very nearly ran out of card space shooting all this and ended up with nearly 3000 pictures from the event so it’s been a long day doing the edit but really enjoyed the memories of the night.
There were some immense battles involving fighters including Brian Creighton, Uche Ihiekwe, Mike Wootten, Shay Walsh and Lee Chadwick but the headline fight between Chris Hoban and Tim Newman for the British Lightweight Title was the crowning fight of the night (and well done Tim for winning it too).
Aside from the fighting there was a very worthy charity event for Walking With Giants based in Liverpool and raised a good sum of money on the night.
